Nauticman, Chickamauga, Black Crappie, 4/28/10, Alone
#1
Well, I haven't posted in a while, I just had too much other stuff going. Besides, after taking Drumking out of Riverpark a while back and the super day we had, everything else seems anticlimatic, LOL! Finally got out today for an afternoon's crappie fishing. I really struggled today, but I did end up with a limit of keepers for the freezer and a dozen or so throwbacks. I also caught several bluegills and some small spots and LM's, all released. I had 2 fish on which defeated my 4 lb. test tackle, one under a dock and one in a brushpile (no slime on the line). I didn't do much good shooting docks. Most of the crappie came deep from blowdowns, brush and eddies on steep rocky banks. BGs and PAs were the baits. Smoke/glitter was my best color today.

The water temp was 68-69 and the flow was 19K cfs. Beautiful afternoon with not much wind.

I think I saw Labman go by a time or two.
