After a few positive reports decided to hit Deer Creek hoping for a few perch. Deer Creek was the first lake I ever ice fished and that was back when they first opened it to ice fishing. Been many years since. Fished south of the Island in 49-51 feet of water. The bottom was covered with perch early on but the bites were very light, even for perch. Managed to drag 8 out of the hole before they shut down. The perch averaged 8 inches with one going 10 1/2 . Even caught one tiny walleye that was about 8 inches long and the size of a cigar. All in all a slow day but a few perch and a sunny day. Cant complain
