got on the water at 11am Fri for a little recon fishing, while waiting for my brother to get there from Louisville,KY. Marked fish on most every main lake point, in 60fow fish suspended at 25, tried several different baits + live shiners, No bites! emoBang ! Got on the water at daylight on the 18th and fished hard, all day long! Had 1 hook up, but pulled off. decided to try a creek, about 3pm & went back and found a big hole in the creek,marked fish in 40 fow, suspended at 20ft, put on a float set at 15ft with a large shiner and drifted out toward the main lake, on the second pass, WHAM! FISH ON!, it pulled hard! the rod was doubled over & spining drag! I had to get on the trolling motor to chase it down! My brother got the net out, and scooped this nice, 20.5" smallie. We fished the rest of the day and didn't get another bite.
