Took the wife and daughter up there Sunday. Smith Morehouse isn't my normal cup-o-tea, but we had lots of fun with small rainbows on pink Powerbait about 400 yards from the inlet on the west side. Nothing big, but fast action for the kiddos.
No brookies cause there in there! I figured brookieguy1 would find em Wink
Yes I'm sure there are a few in there along with some scattered cutts, grayling and tiger trout. Problem is that lake doesn't grow big fish because it's practically sterile. No weeds and very unfertile. My brook trout adventures are not very family freindly so this was just a bait-chuckin' keep the kid smilin' kind of outing. I don't think I'd use Powerbait for brook trout.

The Land and Leisure thugs put up a $7 per boat fee and when I saw that I never went back.

Good on ya! Great place for a family outing... I have caught one at 17" out of there trolling a lucky craft but that was a couple years back...

We were there a few weeks ago and did pretty good using a fly and bubble, and I did good on my fly rod. The other scouts with our group killed them on Powerbait. Water was dropping fast though.

Good Luck.
