this weekend

went out with some buddies this last weekend up here in cache valley and didn't kill any thing saw a ton but were out in the middle of the lake. want to get out and kill some ducks this weekend any suggestions i was thinking of heading down to the bird refuge any recommendations on were to go.

Are you walking in or have a boat? With the water starting to freeze up if you can find some flows where the water is entering a pond or moving from one pond to the other you should do pretty well. Some times the best thing to do is drive around and watch (good pair of binoculars help) where the birds are landing and work your way to that spot. The birds will fly off but more will be in. [Wink] With another cold front moving in it should be good.

we have a boat and decoys i am hoping to get out and half to break some ice that has always been the best hunts in the past. thanks for the help.

what lake did you go to?

we went out to the upper part of the cutler marsh. we walked in thought if we would have had a boat we would have limited out. there was so many ducks and geese.
