East Canyon, 1/3
#1
Haven't ready any reports on East Canyon so headed up there to see how things were. Ice was 9" thick, edges solid, 9° when we got there. Fished by the Dam, only 3 bites. Moved around, not marking many fish. Went to another point, 12'-16' of water. Marked more fish, caught 2 in 3 hours (two of us together). Very light bite. Fish generally 8'-13' depth. Used pink head, white body with wax worm (most bites). Tried eggs, white tubes, and pink gizzy bug (caught 1 fish with it). FAT rainbows filled with eggs and minnows. SLOW fishing! Didn't notice others doing much better.

Seems like each lake has slowed down since just before Christmas (have hit Mantua, Echo, Rockport and East Canyon).

Thanks for the report. I agree not much action being mentioned from there.
