"Mind-boggling" forecast!

Read this Seattle Times article for terrific news regarding salmon runs. They are predicting the best run since 1938. This bodes well for Columbia, Idaho, Olympic Peninsula, and ocean fishing this summer. I have been fishing the Oly. Pen. for over 40 years and last year was the best fishing I have ever experienced for big kings. Coho fishing was also terrific, and they expect twice the number of coho this summer. If you have a boat 16' or larger, you might think about dragging it over there. Or, you can just wait until the Idaho fish arrive!! Anyway, great news. Mike

Funny you should mention that Kodiak. Thinking about staying local for vacation this summer so I was thinking of hitting the OP. Wanted to hit you up but been waiting for forecast to make sure there would be a season. We'll see what the forecast is for the Straights on the 3rd. If it says like this I guess we'll be spending a few weeks up there this summer.
