We started off on a flat around some grass and i got our first keeper on a spook. Worked that area pretty hard and that was the only bite i got. Tyler was throwing a chatterbait and got one to bite it but he didnt either know it was on or it hit right at the boat cause he didnt have much line out and i saw it moving in the water, told him to set the hook. he tried to lift it up and before i had a chance to get the net it shook off with him just holding the fish over the water instead of swinging it into the boat emoBang no more bites and it was getting dark so was time for a move

started throwing a spinnerbait, got a short fish, then a few minutes later i hooked what felt to be a good fish, asked tyler for the net but about that time my line went limp and my spinnerbait was gone, thought it might be a gar and i thought (that was a brand new spinnerbait with one fish caught on it emoBang )

kept working the spinnerbait and finally got another bite and it felt good too, asked tyler to get the net and he about falls flat on his face in the bottom of the boat going for the net (later he says "i forgot to turn on my light" LOL)...got it in the boat not for the lack of tyler trying to knock it off my line..need to work on his netting skills a bit more. about a 5.5 to 6 pounder emoDance

still working the spinnerbait i catch another non keeper or two then finally land a 2 pound keeper. decide then it was time to try something different. head out to a ledge, bump a limb and set the hook, ask for the net and she came up pretty easy and tyler had her in the net but went to pick her up and she flipped out and headed straight to the bottom taking my rod to the reel, get her back up to the net and have to help tyler get it out of the water 6-13 on my scales emoParty

told tyler we needed to get rit of that last little one...made a few more casts and caught a brown fish that was long and thin about 3 pounds...gained us about a pound

went to weigh in and ended up second, glad we did well for tylers first tourney and night fishing adventure

thanks to all and congrats to all the winners
