Willard 6/2
#1
Took the boat out today for a few hours and had a blast, this is probably my favorite time for trolling at Willard. We were using the same shallow diving bright colored Rapalas that we use on the Weber River. We powered out a little and dropped our lines in, set the motor for about 3mph on the GPS and then started pulling the fish in. We try and stay away from other boaters (not an issue today) and then set our lines 80+ feet back. We had our wiper limit in 40 minutes tops and then focused on shiny spinners for walleye. All in all I think we pulled in 10 wiper and about the same in walleye.

I think the best thing for the bay is to be flexible, 2 weeks ago we trolled closer to 1 mph. Today the water temp was in the mid 60s and everything seemed active so we we started trolling nice and fast.
