Cat on the Fly

Lately I have been getting into Cats. I have no idea what model they are but they are a blast. All on the same Carp fly pattern too. They are actually rising!!!!

[#0000FF]Those are BLACK bullheads. No yellow bullheads in Utah...just "yellowbellied" black bullheads.

Not surprised they hit the flies. I catch a lot of them on assorted lures. They have beady little eyes but see well enough in clear water to hit moving targets. But they also have very sensitive lateral lines for detecting motion and vibration. And their skin is covered with scent receptacles.

Surprised you haven't hooked more channels. They hit flies too.

[#0000FF]No problem. Most fish get called a lot of different names...depending on part of the country, what they were told by others and plain simple misidentification.

And then there are some fish...like carp...that get called a lot of things that ain't repeatable in polite society.
