We are still accepting contestants for the big and little catfish contest. Halfastfisher just showed me the traveling trophy he is working on for the smallest catfish entered. It is really cool, the winners name will be attached to this trophy and you'll live in infamy. I might admit to currently holding the lead for this prize.

Anyway the best fishing of the year is right on the horizon and it would be a shame to not enter and then catch that 39" cat. Entry is free just let me know you want in and read and play by the rules at the top of the contest page. Hope you'll join us. Later J

Once mama nature gets back on her Meds and the weather calms down I will attempt to take that smallest cat award from you.

Good luck Kevin, you know BLK said he knew the smallest cat would come from the north. I think that might have been a dig, but we never razz the other team in this contest so I'm expecting we will triumph in the little prize. Besides its hard to get fish smaller than your hook to take it. This fish was caught on a size 2 hook. I'm going up to my 5 aught hooks soon so I expect I won't defend this lead for this prize. I see, secret spot for the mini's. Good luck, or is that bad luck if you're after small ones. Anyway I hope it goes well for your quest. Later J

Right now with the storms and runoff the Colorado is a nice color of chocolate milk so I won't be fishing that any time soon.

The Bear and Logan rivers are blown out the same way with lots of new runoff. Should fill some reservoirs so that's a good thing. Next mounts things will be better. Later J
