Cracker-coon, Chick, Bass, 06/09/16

Finally - after 1 year of trying to catch off shore bass with little to no success yesterday I hit the jackpot. Just days after swearing not to make an over hand cast the remainder of the year (typically catch most my fish flipping) I managed to find one of the huge schools of fish. There had to be 100's if not more in the school and they were very active. I set in the same place for 3 hours and clearly noticed a pattern of the fish driving the bait fish up from about 20/25 FOW onto a secondary ledge in about 15 FOW. At that point it was game over for the little fishy's. The school seemed to fire up about every 30 minutes and cycle again. I held out until I was so tired and had a sore back that I left to fight another day. I guess you could say the fish won. Most all came on swim baits around 8-10 feet in about 15 FOW. Caught upwards of 30 with the best 5 going about 2-3 pounds. Nothing huge but tons of fun and with them that fired up they were really pissed when they got the hook in their mouth and put up a good fight.
