Pineview 1/13/17
#1

Every year I say I'm gonna make it to pineview and every year something comes up and I don't. Not this year, I was gonna make it come he!! or high water. And after getting some intel I planned for high water. Took a plank and waders and started driving. Ended up not needing the waders and the plank was used as a just in case. If you are selective you can do it without one - but be careful cause most of the edges are gonna get you wet.

Fished cemetery point from 2:30 to 6:30pm. Fish started showing up around 4:00. Ended up with 8 crappie and 5 perch then the battery died on the finder. Need a new one. A guy about 50 yards away caught a 41" tiger muskie on 3lb test. It was an awesome thing to behold.

2" crust to 3" slush to 6" solid ice. You can stay on top of crust in some places others not so much. Colder temps over the next few days will help a ton.

Crappie all about 10"
Perch mostly small - 1 around 8"

51' of water - glow tipped with wax or perch eye.
