I have the standard w/reverse model Snow dog.
I fish by myself.
Snowdog good if do not have room for atv or sled or storing trailer.
I bought an aluminum (500lb. Weight limit) hitch hauler that tilts with ramp for my Tacoma. Snow dog sled fits over top for traveling.
I have had and used both sleds and four wheelers back in Mi./Canada, for ice fishing. Snowmobile for snow on ice(studs in track) and four wheeler(with chains) for glare ice.
For the price you can get a better machine in used snowmobiles or four wheelers, if you have the room.
I like my dog(for me), but a used snowmobile would be the way to go if I had the room.
Sleds and four wheelers just get you stuck in slush further out from shore than a snow dog.
Willing to answer any questions about models and problems.
I have had mine since 2017.
