Has anyone seen or have these? Very much affordable unlike the traditional boards that have been on the market. The 1st link tells about the Sidewinder Planer Board whereas the 2nd link already has a modification for the line release.

Those have the potential to work great. I especially like the idea of not having to release them from the line when fighting a fish and also that (assuming they work as described) don't dig into the water. The modification also makes sense.

Agree, a good friend has ordered these and I'm awaiting the outcome of his thoughts and opinion before I buy a set. One thing we discussed was doing the release mod. The video for the release showed all releases were mounted on the same side as we were thinking of mounting a set on opposite side. That will ensure releases will be topside of when deployed as a dedicated planer to the side its set for.
