Decided to hit the Mirror Lake Highway yesterday, 11/9.  Most of the shallow lakes have frozen.  We fished Pass Lake.  Ice thickness varied from 5" to 3"  or less.  Fishing was fairly fast for small rainbows and tigers.  Hopefully the cold weather continues minus snow so the road stays open a bit longer.  Sure is beautiful this time of year.

I noticed Facebook was plastered with posts of ice fishing the high country. Did you have crowds to deal with ?

crazy to think there is already ice on some lakes, seems like it was 80 degrees just yesterday! looks like a blast.
Way to go and thanks for the first ice report of the year that I've seen... Glad you had a great, safe trip... Thanks for sharing it with us... 5" sounds good to me... Later J
