got him out and he brought the gear out in the jet..
let him pick the pole first and he got the one with the pattle bug on it.. then he started kicking my but all over the lake.. lol he had cought 4 fish before i got one to stick and stay.. lol

You ice fishing fool . Do you think a 220# nut could walk on that ice . I could go tomorrow but would be alone most likely . I guess I could get a life jacket on so they could find me .

You are the man! You have been ice fishing 3 days this week on the stuff most of us don't even call ice! You need a new nickname... brass man!! [Tongue]

Great report! Especially when the kids out fish us. [Wink]

Dude that is awesome! You sure pack a pair fuzzy. Thanks for sharing. Any thoughts on when Schofield might have ice?

Some friends of mine that work at the coal mine up by Schofield told me last night that the lake had ice forming around the edges. wont be long now...

fuzzy, you must have the biggest set of b#$@s of any man i know of.
great report, looks like i might be ice fishing next weekend instead of bow hunting the rut.

Sweet! Maybe safe in one weekend. If not, then I'm sure by the next week.

YOU ARE MY HERO! Thanks for the report. You know what I always say "I get hot when it gets cold".
Yea, Ron! Some set of cajones, man! Looked like a little less than half way out on the road side near the turn off, right? Small white tube jigs? With brassies like that, consider it that you have an open invite from me for Fish Lake in early Feb.
I know that I would leave a nice, brown trail from hole to hole if it was me!

we were down by the dam.. lol
most any thing tipped with minnow worked.. but tommy did kick my butt with that green patle bug tipped with minnow.. my best was a rainbow tube tipped with minnow..

here another great pic of one of tommys fish..

Fuzzy, you CLANK when you walk! My hero. How deep was it where you were fishing? Did you see anyone else hung with brass while you were out today?

yeah there was 2 guy's down the lake when we first got there.. they did not stay long tho.. then a old boy form Mt. pleasant came up to do some fishing but did not know there was ice tell he seen us out there.. so he came out for a while tell the ice poped a good one right under him.. then he was hot footing it.. lol..

the water was only 8" to 13" where we were fishing..

Ok, Ok. I'm ready to take you up on that offer you made to learn me somethings about ice fishing now. Me and the hounds want some of that action - you bring your boy and I'll bring my boys. That pond looks like I could even bring my old hocky skates and zip around a bit(are you using boots with cleats or something - how are you getting traction on that glass ?). Anyway, I got all my winter ski gear out and I'm ready to go. I even got a bunch of minnows and a bucket with my paltry selection of ice fishing gear ready to go.

But, I gotta say this - Dude, that ice does look a little skinny for you or my hounds still(I could be wrong, but, I think one of them might outweigh you by a little). Nevertheless, in a day or two the ice will probably be thick enough for all of us to hang out on - if the hounds can get their footing and can stand up on it - that is. If not, they can "chill" in the vehicle while your fishing and I'm trying to figure out what you're doing.

hey sounds good to me my friend.. i think i have mon an tus open next week after that not tell friday.. or there is always today..lol i'm still thinking on that right now.. lol

see ya on the ice..

by the way we did not have any thing to keep from sliping around.. and yes the ice is like glass.. i think your dawgs might have some trouble finding trackshon on that stuff.. hehehe but it might be real funny to watch..

Tuesday sounds pretty good to me.

One thing I have to warn you about - my hounds are probably smarter than both of us. It might only take one or two splats on the ice before they figure out it's not what they want to spend the day doing - but you never know what they might think is fun. However, you're right - it will be entertaining to watch them attempt to walk on it - who knows, they may just be able to negotiate the glass - they have 2 inch claws on thier paws that does provide a fair amount of traction.

If it looks do-able - send me a PM and let's work out the finer details and hook up !
