SO HERE I SIT IN MY LIVING ROOM, TAKING THE DAY OFF OF THE FENCE BIZZ, LOOKING OUT THE WINDOW AT THE SNOW COMING DOWN, AND I'M ASKING MYSELF, IS THERE ANYONE WHO IS AS SICK AND TIRED OF WINTER AS I AM? GIVE ME A BREAK ALREADY! SNOW BLOWS! BRING ON ANYTHING BUT SNOW. I HAVE SEEN ENOUGH OF IT THIS WINTER TO LAST ME AGES. I WAS SITTING ON MY BOAT LAST WEEKEND ON THE MUD PUDDLE IN A T-SHIRT CATCHING CATFISH AND SOAKING UP THE RAYS THINKING HOW SWEET IT WAS THAT WINTER IS FINALLY OVER. NOT QUITE YET I GUESS. OK, I'M DONE VENTING.

]I have a friend that I work with that would tell you that you are wrong he says and even has a sticker on his truck window and hard hat that says "SUMMER SUCKS". he can't get enough sleding in the winter and loves to make tracks in the fresh powder and go hill climbing all the time. I told him that I like ice fishing but I'm ready for summer to, so bring on the sun.

It was those thoughts that ruined it....[
].....what we need to do is all think how much we like snow, ice and cold then it will go away..[sly]

Oh hell no... its been one of the most awsome snowmobiling years ever! You really should look into getting a sled and enjoying this time of year. There is nothing like snowmobiling in fresh powder... nothing. Its softer than water as you just float along. Its just an incredibly unique and fun thing to do. Dont get me wrong, I love summer too ... but Winter in Utah is extremely fun.
My ride: A 2002 Polaris RMK 800 with a 156" track. The engine has alot of aftermarket mods giving it around 165 hp. At 40mph if you have the traction, opening it up to full throttle it will pull the skis off the ground... its unreal the power it has.

The funny thing was I thought about posting the same thing this morning. It is almost freeking April time for sun, snowmelt, and softwater fishing. The ice monster has had it's grip on us long enough! I can't wait to fish in shorts again!

[mad] I'm with Fencekid, I also had the day off and wanted to go fishing. I am too sick of winter to go out a fight the snow. Went to work instead so hopefully can get a day off next week when it's warmer

]hey I got a great plan to fix this problem. We just need to explain to mother nature that all that snow belongs in the mountains all year and we only need a little in the valleys for christmas and some for ice fishin season. Just keep the majority of it in the mountains all year. Just think how fun it would be to go bass fishing in shorts on the boat and then go up high in the mountains in the middle of summer and sit in a nice ice cold snow bank [shocked]for a while and do some sleding for a day then back to the warm valleys with out having to move from one state to another like a lot of retired people do.
If we could get more snow in the mountains all year we would always have water to fill the lakes and streams up and keep the grass and flowers growing in the summer, and the water full to the gills in willard bay for some awesome wiper fishing and all our other lakes full to.

I am never ready for the ice to come off. I bird hunt until mid Jan. and ice fish into april. Love the winter!

I'm the opposite, I wish there was no such thing as a frozen lake.

Snow is evil! Of course, I only weigh 85 lbs and have no meat to keep me warm, anyway. Weather under 60 degrees, I'm miserable.
It snowed again today! At least in Layton...I guess Salt Lake just got cloudy.
I was planning to go fishing on Tuesday...it better quit for a while! I'll just have to wear a couple sweatshirts and my down jacket. And wool gloves from Cabelas... they are so warm!
Mother Nature must be having PMS, or something LOL

Some Utahns such as myself just don't like snow.
When I visit my mother in Kingman Arizona I looooooooooooove the desert, oh yeah!
Lake Mohave! Big channel cats and tons of tiny stripped bass.

Now I'm all curious to what the statement was for me!

wow thats quote thing stinks for sure
My comment was that some of us have been preparing for a bad winter for many years with putting on extra insulation and that I,for one, apparently am gettting ready for an ice age!!! [crazy][unsure][crazy]
