I start fishing around the march/ april time frame. I fish about every other weekend. Since I fish mostly saltwater, the days are long, usually between ten and twelve hour days. I'm not sure what the comes to, but it's a lot. [

well i just started to fish aournd beginning of july. since i'm only 14, i usually have no ride during the weekdays so I usually go during the weekends...BUT I'm extremely busy with band, and this chinese organization i'm in (yes i'm chinese) so i've only actually spent about like...i'd say maybe 70-80 hrs.

I missed out on about 80 hours of fishing earlier this summer when I had to cut my Canada trip short.. That puts me around 20 hours for the year

Dang, 20 hours for the year? What's up with that?

It's been a hard year around here.. We lost my mother-in-law this spring/summer and that has kept me off the water dealing with family stuff.. So usually any time on the water is spent just drifting and floating rather than fishing..
Next year for sure

That's tough man, and i'm sorry to hear that. I was actually going to make a smart ass comment, all in good fun, but i'm glad I didn't now. [

I'm actually missing out on a tournament tomorrow because my fishing buddies Mom had to be taken to the hospital a couple days ago. It sucks, but mom's more important. Maybe next weekend. Looks like it's the wife and kids this weekend. Ripley's Aquarium and Alligator adventure. [

] Good stuff.

I fish from ice off (march) till the lakes freeze (december or January). I don't really like to think how much i fish cause then it makes me realize that thats why my house is taking forever to get remodeled. O well my house will be there tomorrow lol.

Here in Virginia, I fish every month of the year, though much more so in the spring and fall.
And most of it between work and home either before work (say, 5:00 to 7:30) or after (say 6:30 to 9, or so).
Yes, I am an addict. And not a recovering one. Unapologetic and unabashed addict. I take well more than a dozen species per year within 30 minutes of home.
I'm up there in the hundreds of hours, too, with much of that coming in April and May when the anadromous fish come up from the Atlantic through the Chesapeake into the Potomac. By the end of May, they're gone, and I turn to bass.
