Wanted to get your opinion on the pricing on an item that caught my eye. It is a DAIWA CROSSFIRE 25003IB SPINREEL & UGLY STIK 6.5 2 PIECE MEDIUM(I think) ROD for $48.99. Is this a deal? Or would it be wasted money?

Sounds like a workhorse combination that you can happily have a long term relationship with. One of my fishing buddies uses Ugly Sticks exclusively and is very happy with them. Buy it, spool it up and get out there fishing.
