I am getting ready for the soon approaching ice fishing season. And last season I did way too much post holeing getting out (more often coming back from)to some good spots. I have thought alot about picking up a four wheeler or snow mobile, but I have also seen people fight getting them unstuck and even deep sixing them on ice that was plenty safe to walk on. So after much thought I have picked up some snow shoes for me and the kids in hopes that when the snow starts pileing up on the lakes we can travel much easyer, and I think with the bigger footprint you are less likely to go for a cold swim if you hit a soft spot. Do any of you use snow shoes for ice fishing? And if you do how do you like them?

Snow shoes work great for deep snow and slush. Much less effort in deep snow. Better traction on ice.

Good for tromping down a platform in slushy snow.

Quick connect and ratchet tightening are nice options.

Really enjoy mine.
