need help to install down rigger - fishgiver - 07-22-2019 I own a 16' Lund SS Fury and I am considering adding down riggers. Need help/ suggestions on how to mount. The electric are heavier and would need a very secure and sturdy mount. Pedestals are also an option but my experience with them is they can apply a lot of torque where they are fastened so it needs to have a very solid mounting surface. Go with electric you will be much happier in the long run [signature] Re: [fishgiver] need help to install down rigger - BSF - 07-22-2019 PM Sent [signature] Re: [fishgiver] need help to install down rigger - muirco - 07-22-2019 https://www.ciscofishingsystemsltd.com/shop/lund-mounts-5239 [signature] Re: [fishgiver] need help to install down rigger - UintaIce - 07-23-2019 I had a Lund, and attached my manual downrigger mounts to the seats. Just a thought. [signature] Re: [fishgiver] need help to install down rigger - KeelnTime - 07-23-2019 Check out the mini laker by Walker, I have 2 of them. They have a clamp style mount that fits up to a 2.5" gunwale. I have loved mine, they are inexpensive lite and easily removed and stowed. [signature] Re: [fishgiver] need help to install down rigger - elkantlers - 07-23-2019 probably bought an aftermarket line counter or marked the cable in 10' increments. They are electric and I absolutely love them. I use ten pounds pancake balls and no issues. Here's a couple of pics.
