Mantua - Chip_Flipper - 04-26-2004 If planes work out I will be at Mantua tomorrow morning. I have never fished it this early any advice for going after the bass. I was thinking jig with a trailer worked on the bottom. Any action with the blue gills? Thanks for the comments Chip [signature] Re: [Chip_Flipper] Mantua - UTBASS - 04-26-2004 Shallow Bays that are close to drop-offs ... Slow Presentations ... Long Casts ... Dropshotting, and Deadsticking will do nicely [signature] Re: [UTBASS] Mantua - Chip_Flipper - 04-26-2004 Help mw out a little What is deadstickin? [signature] Re: [Chip_Flipper] Mantua - PREDATOR - 04-26-2004 Bass up there have been getting lots of pressure latley. I would try non typical areas that get over looked by most anglers. Look for edges. [signature] Re: [Chip_Flipper] Mantua - loanfish - 04-27-2004 Ya, what exactly is deadstickin? I've never heard of that.[unsure] [signature] Re: [loanfish] Mantua - scartinez - 04-27-2004 deadsticking, just let it chill. Don't give the jig any action. It's for fish that are very lethargic. [signature] Re: [scartinez] Mantua - loanfish - 04-27-2004 So when you deadstick it are you rigging it a certain way or is this a name of a technique used in any way rigged? [signature] Re: [Chip_Flipper] Mantua - Rooster-Tail - 04-27-2004 Fished it a couple times last year (early June timeframe), but not this early. We saw many a blue gill swimming around, but never could catch them little devils. Saw some folks fishing for the bass with top water early in the morning and late at night. I did catch on on a spinner bait. Looking forward to your report. Mark [signature] |
