[] Re: [theangler] Your thoughts on Best Pound for Pound Fighting Fish - LUVTHATICE - 03-14-2007 I WOULD ALSO HAVE TO SAY WIPER. [signature] Re: [theangler] Your thoughts on Best Pound for Pound Fighting Fish - Lonnie - 03-14-2007 For salt water I would have to give the abacore the nod (maybe for all fish pound for pound) they can kick your butt for a 20-25 lb fish, In freshwater , those pelican lake gills on a fly rod have to be up there for the small size, have'nt caught a wiper, but I was going to cast a vote for lake powell stripers ( when their healthy) and for trought I would give the blue ribon to tiger trout. Just my 2 cents worth [signature] Re: [theangler] Your thoughts on Best Pound for Pound Fighting Fish - AFDan52 - 03-14-2007 Hey how's things going? I have got to say that the Willard Bay Wipers have got to be the Best fighting fish Pound for Pound. Hook on to one in a Boil and hang on. AFDan52 [signature] Re: [theangler] Your thoughts on Best Pound for Pound Fighting Fish - jekern1015 - 03-14-2007 saltwater- yellowtail freshwater- willard wipers [signature] Re: [jekern1015] Your thoughts on Best Pound for Pound Fighting Fish - trout_slayer - 03-14-2007 The good 'ol CARP baby!!!!!!!!!! They may not fight worth a darn, but you try reeling in a 25 lber from the Gorge!!! If feels like a 35 foot Christmas tree you just dragged off the bottom. HAHAHAHA Just kidding anyhow, I am going to have to say the Wiper also, but not from Willard Bay, but from John Martin Res. in South Eastern Colorado. [signature] Re: [theangler] Your thoughts on Best Pound for Pound Fighting Fish - slimerslayer - 03-14-2007 Wild Madison River Rainbows.Awesome on a 6WT flyrod trying to keep them out of the main current while they're strippin line and leaping all the way. [signature] Re: [slimerslayer] Your thoughts on Best Pound for Pound Fighting Fish - bassrods - 03-14-2007 Pound for pound it has to be SMALL MOUTH.... . [signature] Re: [theangler] Your thoughts on Best Pound for Pound Fighting Fish - Theekillerbee - 03-14-2007 I'm divided between the smallie and the wiper. Both put up on heck of a tussle, and are a riot to catch! [signature] |
