Ogden River Bass - HookJaw_Brimhall - 04-04-2007 Flycastin and I made another trip to the Ogden river today. We did pretty well landing about ten fish a piece. Flycastin managed to catch a nice little smallmouth bass. The water was really low and clear. We were using rapalas. It was awesome watching the smallie and the trout smack the rapala. [cool] [signature] Re: [HookJaw_Brimhall] Ogden River Bass - lunkerhunter2 - 04-04-2007 Awesome guys. That smallie is a sign of things to come i'm thinkin.[cool] [signature] Re: [lunkerhunter2] Ogden River Bass - Flycasting - 04-04-2007 The closer you get to the dam, the more smallies we see/catch. Over the years Hookjaw and I have caught about a dozen or so... Not too big, but still fun. We have SEEN a few that were nice. While i was catching my fish i saw a 20" tiger sitting by a pallet waiting in ambush. I have also caught some gigantic perch in the deep hole below the first bridge. We saw one Tiger about a mile upstream that probably would have gone over 40 inches. Flycastin also caught a good sized channel cat behind the Oaks restaurant. Had we been fishing with the fly rods, I have no doubt we would have caught more yesterday. Every time I go with my brother, we always end up at one or two streams or rivers as that is his favorite kind of fishing action. [signature] Re: [trollboy8] Ogden River Bass - lunkerhunter2 - 04-04-2007 My wife caught a bag full of skinned carcasses a few years ago in the canal behind willard.[shocked][crazy] [signature] Re: [lunkerhunter2] Ogden River Bass - trollboy8 - 04-04-2007 nasty. Wierdest thing I caught in the provo was a Home Depot Logo bowling ball. It was very healthy looking.
