Son of a ! - SteelieNut - 05-24-2009 [frown][frown][frown][frown][frown][frown][frown][frown][frown][frown][frown][frown][frown][frown] I just wanted everyone to know that after get my evasive species sticker and registering my boats, I broke my friggin' Sage right before memorial weekend![pirate][pirate][pirate][pirate][pirate][pirate][pirate][pirate][pirate][pirate][pirate] [signature] Re: [SteelieNut] Son of a ! - jigs - 05-24-2009 they have a no question warranty? [signature] Re: [jigs] Son of a ! - redbeard1 - 05-24-2009 Oh, they ask Questions. That is some tough luck bro. I guess you'll just have to bust out that new St. Croix. [signature] Re: [SteelieNut] Son of a ! - lurtch - 05-24-2009 so you gonna tell the story on how you broke it..or do you need healing time.. [signature] Re: [SteelieNut] Son of a ! - gstott - 05-24-2009 That sucks. I broke my 6 wt on Thursday. It must be going around. [signature] Re: [SteelieNut] Son of a ! - chrome_junky - 05-25-2009 sage will replace it if your the original owner. oh yeah when we fishing togather again? [signature] Re: [gstott] Son of a ! - Fishhound - 05-25-2009 [#008000]That does it ! My Sage(s) are staying in the tube, in the closet, behind the guitar case, with the dresser pushed up against the door - until the CDC announces that this epidemic has subsided, I'm not using anything except an UglyStick .[/#008000] [#000000][size 1](Last week I myself broke three rods - None were Sage though)[/size][/#000000] [signature] Re: [Fishhound] Son of a ! - X2FSH - 05-25-2009 I broke my new 7ft. ugly stick last week...was hung up on a snag and didn't really put that much torque on it...grant it I didn't pay that much, but still makes you mad. They play up the fact that it can take some abuse which I didn't give it. Rod broke right in the middle were the two pieces connect. [signature] Re: [SteelieNut] Son of a ! - Rockjmpr - 05-26-2009 Man, I'm sorry to hear about that. I hope you were able to still get out and use something resembling a fishing rod[:/] [signature] Re: [Rockjmpr] Son of a ! - X2FSH - 05-26-2009 I've wised up...always have a back up pole and reel with me[] [signature] Re: [X2FSH] Son of a ! - Rockjmpr - 05-26-2009 Yea me too, I even carry a couple extra guns when hunting but always prefer to use old faithful... [signature] Re: [X2FSH] Son of a ! - Belasko - 05-26-2009 Always pack 2 rods, if not 3 or even 4 any more. Reels, usually at least 2 and a spare spool for each. No wonder that tackle bag gets so heavy [signature] Re: [Belasko] Son of a ! - flygoddess - 05-27-2009 I like your thinking. I pack 3 to 4 rods out on my pontoon. That way, I don't have to change the line and reel out ON the water[cool] [signature] Re: [Belasko] Son of a ! - SteelieNut - 05-27-2009 Ya, I like to carry extra rods and reels as well. Hence the 11 miles per gallon fishing trips.[laugh] Can't ever be over prepaired for something to go wrong. You know what's funny, I have fished with that Sage ($500) for 10+ years now and after it broke I bought a $100 St. Croix to get me through until I get the Sage back, and the St. Croix is just as good a rod, and I could buy 4 more for the price of the Sage! I think I'm done buying expensive rods.[:/] At least I am going to tell myself that. [signature] Re: [SteelieNut] Son of a ! - X2FSH - 05-28-2009 It's funny, the rods that you try to baby are usually the ones that get broke...the cheaps ones that get thrown around seem to last forever. [signature] Re: [SteelieNut] Son of a ! - trouthunter145 - 05-28-2009 that sucks sorry to hear that[frown] [signature] Re: [X2FSH] Son of a ! - redbeard1 - 05-29-2009 Same goes for everything, including wives.[laugh] [signature] Re: [redbeard1] Son of a ! - prvrt - 05-29-2009 [quote redbeard1]Same goes for everything, including wives.[laugh][/quote] X 2 !
