Oh, they ask Questions. That is some tough luck bro. I guess you'll just have to bust out that new St. Croix.

[#008000]That does it ! My Sage(s) are staying in the tube, in the closet, behind the guitar case, with the dresser pushed up against the door - until the CDC announces that this epidemic has subsided, I'm not using anything except an UglyStick .[/#008000]
[#000000](Last week I myself broke three rods - None were Sage though)[/#000000]

I broke my new 7ft. ugly stick last week...was hung up on a snag and didn't really put that much torque on it...grant it I didn't pay that much, but still makes you mad. They play up the fact that it can take some abuse which I didn't give it. Rod broke right in the middle were the two pieces connect.

Man, I'm sorry to hear about that. I hope you were able to still get out and use something resembling a fishing rod[:/]

I like your thinking. I pack 3 to 4 rods out on my pontoon. That way, I don't have to change the line and reel out ON the water[cool]

Ya, I like to carry extra rods and reels as well. Hence the 11 miles per gallon fishing trips.[laugh] Can't ever be over prepaired for something to go wrong. You know what's funny, I have fished with that Sage ($500) for 10+ years now and after it broke I bought a $100 St. Croix to get me through until I get the Sage back, and the St. Croix is just as good a rod, and I could buy 4 more for the price of the Sage! I think I'm done buying expensive rods.[:/] At least I am going to tell myself that.

It's funny, the rods that you try to baby are usually the ones that get broke...the cheaps ones that get thrown around seem to last forever.
