Beats freezing you backside off fishing Hebgen or Quake. Some nice looking paribia fish. I would enjoy fishing like that.
Maybe when Al Gore's global warming kicks in we can be doing that type of fishing here.

I've fished some floating mat type structure like that in southern utah for brookies but I didn't have to dig my own holes. Some of the openings I drop through are no bigger than a dinner plate though.
