Well, it's about that time of year. The edges are receeding. Major access points on the ice aren't a problem but anywhere else there is about 2-3' of open water along the shorelines and only going to get worse. Fishing was surprising fast in the middle of the day but petered out as the day progressed. 10 feet of water was the best luck and small ice flies worked best. All fish were 17" + and fat except for 1 little guy. Didn't see a single person in the area I was fishing.

Can you get on the ice at the Island marina and head out for deep perch without getting wet?

Yeah I think so there was 1 guy there today it's not super bad yet but edges are getting soft.
