So, the Canal Companies, F&G, Preston City, Franklin County Commissioners, and some others met a week or so ago on the use/issue of the Quagga Mussel in Franklin County. I am posting up the minutes of that meeting so everyone can see what happened there. I would really encourage everyone to send comments, concerns to F&G and your local State Legislator on what is happening there. I don't think things will change any except to be tightened and even closed to most every type and kind of watercraft, but you can sure try to influence some changes, at least through F&G since your pubic monies are involved in the access property (at Glendale) and stocking of all of the reservoirs.
I might make one comment, I suggested last summer to F&G to try and establish a check station somewhere around the Pocatello/Portnuef entry station since a majority of users on those areas, other than some Utahans, come from the Upper Snake areas. That discussion apparently has not taken place.
