Myself and 11 of my buddies went down to Powell for our yearly guys January trip. We had 4 fishing boats in our group. Fishing was so so. We ended up with:
206 stripers
3 Walleyes
4 Catfish
1 Smallmount
Nothing much to brag about. More than 1/2 were caught out fishing jigs and bait in the boats, a few on spoons. The rest were dock fishing at night.

They do have fun. I was there in another group once as witness, and The Dudes made their trip a three-day beer party rudely interrupted by fish.
Our group was only a shade less rowdy, I hasten to add.

Seems like I've seen posts from years past with more fish than a trawler would pull in. Be a fun break from slow ice fishing. Seems like I always hit a slow lull in the mid season. I'm afraid this year it might be the end of the season. The ten day forecast doesn't look very promising for ice fishing. Well Rocky won't be long and you'll be back on the pond. Till then stay warm. Later J
