Is it too early in the season for Strawberry crawdad fishing?
#1
Might be a dumb question, in that I'm not even sure if crawdads are more active at different times in the season. I guess I just assume that the dead heat of summer is when they're most abundant. My kids love catching crawdads from shore, next to the docks. Thoughts on this time of year?

Last time I was ice fishing at Soldier Creek I caught two crawdads so I'm thinking they are active all year round. Wish I'd kept them for bait.

The older I get the more I would rather be considered a good man than a good fisherman.

Did a quick search on the internet. Found this on utahwildlife.net. At Strawberry it is good from May to October, with the hotter months slightly better. Some were netting them from shore, and others did well with chicken on a line.
