Echo Ice -- Tues. 1-22-19

Lots of new snow, access to ice is good (plowed), but there was definitely a bad 5 to 6" slush layer that we had to wade through. For sure needed waterproof, rubber boots, and it still felt uncomfortable breaking through the soft crust layer...In 26 FOW we found a few nicer perch, a few rainbows, and huge quantities of the 4 to 6" dinks...Use a "borrowed" eye, or a little cut perch meat, or you'll be going through waxies like ........(you know, make up your own politically incorrect comparison)...because those dinky perch are thieves! Still had a good time, and weather was great..didn't need tent....Guluk...
