Has anyone been to look to see if the spawners are showing up yet? I have a buddy who moved here from Minnesota I want to take to look at the spawning walleye when they show up. And laugh at the snaggers masquerading as fisherman. It's still a little early I think from my usual time. PMs welcome. Thanks

[#0000FF]I haven't heard either, but as you know, there are almost always fish in the river by mid March...even in a weird year like this one.[/#0000FF]

I usually go right around my birthday day April 5th and it's teeming. Headed to Powell next week for 5 days. I'll check it after I get back prolly. I've got smaller fish to fry. Not many game fish bigger than those spawning females I see in the river.

[#0000FF]There have been some upper 20" fish caught around Bird Island this past week so there should be some in the river too.[/#0000FF]

Snaggers are hard at work at the Willard Bay inlet !!! Can't see many fish in the water, but they are actively snagging up there !
As to Powell, Crappie should be pretty active about now !
