Fished brownlee yesterday from spring creek to mountain man lodge. First and foremost, be careful! There is debris from bank to bank in some areas, with some full sized (50 ft +) trees, and numbers of half submerged logs. Take your time moving throughout the reservoir.
For the fishing, it is SLOW. We managed to find a few pockets of crappie, ranging from 7-14 inches, but finding the large fish was tough. The reservoir is coming up fast, and between that and the variable temperatures, the big schools seem to still be suspended in the middle of coves and main reservoir, and aren’t very aggressive. We found a few that were making their way to the bank, but not many. Caught mostly males, but the females we caught are still not ready to spawn. I’d say it will take some consistent water levels and warm temps to change things. Caught a few nice bass and some perch as well. Water temp when we put in was 64 degrees, when we took out it was 68.
