Hey y'all, I'm not so new to the site but new to posting......figured it was about time to start contributing to a site that has helped me expand my fishing horizon the past few years.
Loaded up the family and met some friends camping at scofield Sunday. The weather was perfect when we launched from the state park at 830. Surface TEMP was a warm 67 degrees, and I was immediately marking fish at all depths with the biggest suspended at 18' or so. My poles were already rigged with koke gear from our previous trip so I sent down 5.5" Dodgers with pink rmt assassins tipped with pink maggots. Had our first fish before I could load up the rod on the down rigger. A cookie cutter cutthroat, a lean 14"er. We proceeded to catch several more with a grand total of 35 fish caught and released by noon. All were about the same size(12-14") all cuts.
I spent more time resetting the rigger than I did anything else Haha, but all the kids were having a great time, and got to bring in several fish. All and all a perfect day on Schofield.
