Big Cutthroats at Lost Creek
#1
Managed to get a 5 1/2 pound Cutthroat, on my first cast, two weekends ago at Lost Creek. Then caught two more that were about 5 pounds this past weekend.
In between we caught a lot of smaller rainbows and cutts. I also went below the dam in the spillway (the part you can fish) and caught a pretty Tiger!
At the end of the video I also do a catch and cook but I am definitely not a cook but it makes you hungry lol.

Here is the link for the video!

Also, does anyone have any tips on how to target Splake and Tigers at Lost Creek or should I just keep fishing the same way and I'll luck into them? Maybe the splake are deeper than everything else?

the Splake are quite deep normally, 50 to 70 feet in the summer. Tigers are normally closer to the shore and love any shore cover where they can pen up and suck up chubs.

I watched your video via the facebook link. Some nice toads. If you figure out them spake, let me know. Hard to get em without going real deep in the summer: think lake trout tactics. I am hoping a ice run this winter might put a few on the hook

Thanks guys! Looks like my best bet here in the near future will be going for the splake deep through the ice.

Looks like the Splake might be the new Lost Creek Quest this year. I've never caught a Splake or Tiger Trout at Lost Creek . through the ice would be fun. Thanks for sharing.
