Hit up Sand Hollow Sun, it was hard to believe it was mid Jan. Air temps in the 60's, water temps in the mid to upper 40s. Lake levels are on the rise, about 6-7' from full pool. Looks like they've been dumping a lot of Virgin River water in, like they usually do in the spring time...always causes the clarity to get cloudy when they do that. Fishing wasn't hot and heavy, like usual during this time of year...but I did manage some decent fish. Caught most of my fish on a 3.8 Keitech bluegill on a 1/2 oz head in 30' of water. Managed a couple in the same depths slow rolling a 1/2 oz spinnerbait white/chartreuse Keitech trailer. Just felt so good to be out on the water enjoy those unseasonable temps. Looks like it'll be awhile until I get back out there with this slow moving cold front moving into the area this weekend. Starting to get spring fever for that pre-spawn/spawn bite! Can't wait!
