Friday Wiper Report
#1
Got on the water way to early this morning at 6:30 and trolled around freeway bay in the dark with no love, as the sun came up we saw some birds off of the feed lot and ran that direction and proceeded to troll around 2.5mph with lipless crank baits and flicker shad. It did not take long to get into the Wipers we caught around 3 dozen between 7:30-10:00 am both trolling and casting. Then as the bite slowed we switched to fishing fligs for cats at about 10:30 and caught 5 by the time we quit at 12:30pm. The best crank was a #5 shad pattern flicker shad.

Did you happen to grab any water temps. Just curious what they are doing in this sun cycle
Remember: keep the lid on the worms, share your jerky, and stop by to say hi to Cookie and the Cowboy-Pirate crew

largest we caught was 17", there was a boat near us that started announcing that they caught a five and a half pound wiper on anchor fishing bait.

Looking like on Thurs and Fri the temps will start dropping, with snow in the mountains and rain in the valley. Not sure how it will effect te wipers but it will help the perch to become more active, at least I hope it does. Undecided
