Cherokee Lake
#1
The water level is rising with the surface temperature at 49.4 degrees. The water color near creeks is muddy and dark stained in most other locations. Bass are still a little slow. The best chances of finding any bass would be on rocky banks, points, and along steep rocky bluffs. Fish with tube jigs, crank baits, or silver buddy's. A few crappie were caught the past week in German and Ray creeks and at Three Springs. Fish around brush piles with live minnows or white, orange, and purple flies. Got to fish close to the brush. Catfish can be found along bluffs and rocky areas. Cherokee bass are in the areas of Point 17 to 18, Point 21 to 23, and Point 25 to 26. Fish 10 to 25 feet deep with jigs, spoons, and shad
