I need to find me a place to go fishing this weekend..[cool]
I live in Brigham and want to go trolling or some bankfishing for trout.. Can't be too far still trying to recover money wise from broken leg..
I have a 16' bayliner and would like to take it to troll from or motor around in.. I have been out to willard the last two weekends.. Got eaten by deer flies.. Wife won't go back...[unsure]
Any help appreciated..

How's about trolling or jiggin' the east blank of Bear Lake? Might want to check on launching conditions first though.

Well Jethro,
You say you live in Brigham City, if you rule out Willard you've got to head East to troll. Close by are mantau(sp) which has trout for the morning and Bass and Bluegill for the afternoon. Fish along the back side using popgear and a rapala or flatfish for trout and Small jigs for bass and blue gills. This is an artificial only lake and you can't even have bait on board, power bait, scented worms ect..
Beyond logan and thru the pass are the Carribian blue waters of Bear lake with camp grounds and public launch ramps.
If you drive down to Odgen then go east Pine View can be a nice lake if you get there early. Troll for giant Tiger Muskies using huge Rapala typr lures, one shallow and one deep. It would be a nice way to spend the morning. You can also cast for smallies.
Yep try Mantau for trout and Bass, and PineView for a shot at a Muskie and a nice day tooling around.
