Weekend Suggestion

[cool][blue]According to BearLakeFishGuy, the post spawn action on decent cutts has been good, trolling off Cisco Beach on Bear Lake. We have been PMing on some lure colors and stuff, and he said he would post something on that, but I haven't seen it yet. [/blue]

[#0000ff]Seems most folks wait until October or November to go up there for macks and completely miss out on the big cutts this time of year. He will have to provide a more complete report, as far as depths, lures, etc. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]If anyone needs fast info and he doesn't chip in here, you can PM him.[/#0000ff]

[cool]Very true! I was watching Sportsbeat Sunday on KSL Ch. 5 last Sunday evening and every Sunday during the summer Rod Zundel (one of the sports anchors) visits a Utah fishing hole which is a different spot each week. It's only about a 5 minute clip that they show, but it's always a good one.

Anyhooters, last week he was up at Bear Lake doing some trolling and they caught a few nice ones, and quite a few smaller ones. I think one looked like it was 8 pounds or so, but they didn't measure it. At first they tried that vertical jigging stuff, but that wasn't working for them that day, so then they trolled with a little spoon thing that looked like a rainbow trout Gitzit type thing, and that's when they started nailing them.

The "Utah's best fishing holes" segment comes on right after the golf tip of the week sometime between 11:00-11:20 or so, with the show starting at 10:30. They have a webpage on this, but I don't know what the exact link is, but if you go to www.ksl.com/tv, you'll see an icon for the "outdoors" section. TubeDude is right, now is definitely a good time for the big cuts up there. I had no idea that it was good fishing up there in July.
