Louisiana Fishing Expeditions w/Capt Ben Leto
#1
LOUISIANA FISHING EXPEDITIONS:

Yesterdays action was filled with big bull reds and mule trout using light tackle. The weather did not look good in the morning but I still went down the street to get my live shrimp and before that I went down the bayou in my boat and threw the cast net and got about 100 live finger mullet.

At out first stop Gary and Dominick were using either the live mullet or shrimp under a float and their baits were really getting slammed fast and furious as they began filling the ice chest with big fat trout. The action lasted about an hour until the sharks moved in. So then we moved to the next closest rig were everyone was catching bull reds as fast as they could cast using free floating finger mullet.

After catching everyone's limit and then catching and releasing them for a while, the trout bite started up. We stayed on the trout for a while and when the action slowed, I opted for a move. We were fishing out of Gary's boat and he wanted to go back where we started, against my opinion of it being a bad idea as I watched another boat go their and leave. I figured the sharks were still around that platform but with the action we had, Gary could not resist in going back. The result, a blank on the fish.

I have taken Gary out quite a few times in the past with good results. I always ask people not to run their GPS but they always do. From now, on no one leaves dock with their GPS on or I will make it a point not to put them on fish. After the great fishing trip Gary informed me that he is now Capt. Gary and is a guide. This is the straw that broke this Captains back and from now on if you want to use your own boat, my prices are the same with an exception for someone like Mr. Hal who needs to use his own boat because it is rigged for his wheel chair.

If you want to have a good time catching fish with light tackle and have a place to stay right on the bayou give me a call.

1-877-271-2059 (Toll Free)
985-893-0180 (Local)

louisiana-fishing-expeditions.com

Thanks Capt. Ben,
for another great report

You are well with in your rights on that GPS issue and using other boats should not be done unless you are ready to retire because you are about to give away your means of making a living.

As a mater of fact I cant thing of any one here in Michigan that will allow GPS devices on their boats nor will they take some one else out in there own boats. (That is just bad business unless you are in the business of giving away your information to new charter services) If you continue to take people out in their own boats you may as well be charging 10 times the rates as on your boat. Because either way you will soon be out of business

As to Mr. Hal who needs to use his own boat because it is rigged for his wheel chair. You may want to give that a strong reservation as well. Because you should be making your own accommodations for anglers who are wheel chair ridden. ( I say this not to condemn taking persons out in their own boats but more that there are literally thousands of anglers who would enjoy a fishing trip on a boat if it were accessible to wheel chairs ) You may not be able to build a ramp to get on your boat but a hoist work just as well.

Then you can add this information to your web site, advertising wheel chair accessibility.

Just because some one is in a wheel chair doesn’t mean they don’t want to get out and enjoy what life has to offer.

http://myweb.ecomplanet.com/MESS6438/
For Kids Sake
Recycle your old Equipment
Dave
