Fished strawberry Saturday with HA69. The water was calm all day except for a late evening gust that only lasted for less than an hour. The fish are alittle harder to come by but once you locate them the fishing can be good. We caught about 35 fish 3 of them where rainbows.

Did you gusy troll for them all day? Or did you just locate the fish and put a jig in their faces? Thanks for the update, and good luck on your next trip out.

We jigged most of the day. We did do a little trolling with leaded line but it was slow fishing. Even when we trolled threw schools of fish we where lucky to pick up one fish. But once we droped jiggs down to them we whould hook up.

Nice day on the water and fishing a little better than 2 weeks ago . Still can't wait for the fall feedfest and ice to come on . Should be a great ice season coming . Still looking for a big bow , but not in the cards this weekend .

Sounds like a nice day on the water. What color of jigs were working-white is my guess. Also, were you using tube jigs, or marabew?

I fished chartreuse mainly but white was working too . I fished tube jigs , needlefish , and cripple herring with sweetners . I rarely fish the same jig all day , always throwing something new at them . Fish were caught from 15' of water in the morning to 40' by the afternoon .

Nice report guys, did you catch any that were larger than the slot? How cold was it in the morning when you started?

I think the temperature was in the upper 30's-low 40's. It did feel cold since we have gotten use to temperatures in the mid 90's. Around noon it was hot probably in the 80's.
Did'nt catch any larger than the slot most where 18"-20" and real fat. We could of kept the rainbows but we released them.
