Still At It

[cool][#0000ff]Well, since nobody else is doin' it, I thought I better post a couple of pics of the little walleye jaunt TubeBabe and I made to Lincoln Beach, on Utah Lake last Saturday.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Fishing was slow, but I managed a small walleye and a white bass. TubeBabe showed me up with a 25" walleye that weighed 5.7 pounds.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Water is getting colder. Only about 40 degrees now. We definitely appreciated our neoprene waders and the new fleece wading pants we got to wear under them. Also made good use of two pairs of new wool socks.[/#0000ff]

Way to go guys. I was hoping to see a tubing report from UT soon. I guess it wont be long before the water starts to crust a bit.[cool]

[cool][#0000ff]Still some tubin' time left in the lower elevations. Some of the higher lakes, like Scofield, are usually iced over by Thanksgiving. But, Utah Lake sometimes does not ever freeze during the winter. I have tubed it virtually every month of the year. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]It gets to be a bit much when you gotta carry a chainsaw to cut your way out into a frozen lake.[/#0000ff]

I bet that the chainsaw is still lighter than the 4 foot gas powered auger to make the launch hole with.[laugh]
