Hyrum Res' finished capping off last night, all except for a small area in the middle that the ducks and geese are keeping open. The ice may or may not be walkable by this coming weekend. If any of you venture out, please be careful and frequently check the thickness and quality of the ice as you move off shore.
The perch fishing has been terrible the last couple of winters. We'll see how it goes this winter. There should be some catchable rainbows however. I doubt the tiger trout are very big yet, but I still want to hear about it when one of you guys catches one out of Hyrum.
