Tiger Trout questions with pics
#1
Just a couple quick questions on tiger trout for you out there that can answer. In December I took a couple friends to Huntington reservoir to catch some tigers. I finally got some pictures back from a friend and thought I would post them. My main questions are about tiger trout reproductive abilities. I thought I had read in here that tiger trout can't reproduce because of what they are mixes of. As you can hopefully see from the pictures I am trying to attach some of the tigers look to be in spawning colors. There are two pictures of one tiger trout that had quite the hunch back going on. If you look close in the pictures you can see it's quite a hump. Another tiger in the pictures has some brilliant yellows and oranges, especially on his stomach. The last tiger is what I am used to a tiger trout looking like.

Can anyone enlighten me on tiger trout coloring and reproductive possibilities? I hope the pictures show up, if not I'll try again.

they are cool loking fish are they not?
but what your calling spawning colors are not fish in the spawn.. i have found that at huntinton lake you can go there any time of the year and catch bright colored fish is you have in the pic's..
the tigers have a high number of deformitys hump backs head and spine are all a part of the makeing of the fish..
they will go through the spawning motion but can not reproduce..
that will happon in the fall of the year just before ice up..

dude on fish?
