Thanks Berry Much!
#1
Yesterday I asked for some advice on how to fish Strawberry. I had a lot of excellent advice and went today and caught a few, but more important Mrs. Whit210 caught her first trout ever. This is the first time in eighteen years she has been fishing with me. I think the back seat of the boat is claimed for good. See Pics.

Didn't get on the water until 10:00am ( had to get the kids off to school) Fished the back side of Haws Point she landed her first on the second cast using a Yamamoto #3 white pearl tube jig tipped with a crawler. She had three in the boat before I hooked my first. Thanks again everyone.

Glad you guys could have such a nice trip. The berry can be really fun if you can hit it on a good day, and use the right technique.

We didn't catch a ton of fish, but what a nice day and for me any time I can boat a few fish over twenty inches that is a good day. I really do live too far to hone in on the technique. So it is really going to be hit and miss.

[black]Good Job! Looks like you and the misses had a lot of fun! You use the same vertical jigging techniques at Bear Lake and if I'm not correct, that is a lot closer for you isn't it? The Bear has good fishing there too. Not the numbers of Strawberry but the chance at a bigger fish is always there.[/black]

Mack,

Thanks for the advice yesterday. You are correct, Bear Lake would be much closer and far less expensive to get to as well. I figure it took us around 2 1/2 hours to get to Strawberry today.
