Holmes Creek Res. Suggestions?

I have fished at Holmes Creek res. in Layton MANY times. I have yet to catch anything there. I haven't even ever SEEN a fish there. I keep hearing stories of big bass and walleye, but where the heck are they? After fishing there today, I have grown a little tired of that place. I have faith in it, I want there to be somewhere close that I can catch decent bucketmouths and 'eyes, but that faith is fading.......HELP!

I have fished it for alot of years but always in the summer.I would use a numbet 6,long shanked hook,and thread a nightcrawler all the way on your hook and up the line so its nice and straight.Through it out with no weight,and just let it sink nice and slow.Always use a whole crawler. Good Luck
