[black][size 3]Hey sailfish4me,[/size][/black]
[black][size 3][/size][/black] [black][size 3]I have a couple of Abu Garcia spinning reels. A CD 4000 and a CD 2000 - both with center drag. [/size][/black] [black][size 3][/size][/black] [black][size 3]I have had them for about 8-10 years and have only had one minor issue with just one of them(the CD 2000). But it was my fault - I dropped it in a lake a couple of years ago, it went to the bottom and settled in the muck. After I fished it out, I took it apart, cleaned it up, and greased and oiled it. It was sticking and jamming on every other turn of the handle and the anti-reverse quit working. So, I took it apart again, repeated the process, and it has been fine ever since. So I would have no problem recommending them.[/size][/black] [signature]

Great info fishhound. I've never used an Abu Garcia spinning reel. Infact, I have rarely used a spinning reel at all; except for my ultra lite Quantum that I use quite frequently for bream and other small species of fish.
I do, however, use alot of Abu's bait casting equipment, and find it to be superior to other brands based on quality and price. [cool] [signature]

[cool][font "Poor Richard"][green][size 3]I have two that are over 10 years old. They still work well and have never caused me any concern. I have no intentions of replacing them. If they "ain't" broke leave them alone.[][/size][/green][/font]
